O’Driscoll O’Neil Ltd is one of only a handful of insurance brokers with a team specialising in the area of sports and leisure insurance.
For more than a decade their specialist team has been supplying insurance solutions to individual sportsmen and women, coaches, teams and organisations throughout Ireland. They currently arrange the insurance for over 5000 sports clubs and 28 of the National Governing Bodies.
In light of this expertise it is not surprising that specialist sports insurer, Sportscover, selected O’Driscoll O’Neil Ltd as their Irish partner when they chose to enter the Irish insurance market three years ago. For over 20 years Sportscover have been providing insurance for sporting bodies in more than 70 countries worldwide. In 2006 they entered the Irish market in conjunction with O’Driscoll O’Neil Ltd in the belief that the Irish sporting fraternity were paying too much for cover that was often inadequate and frequently arranged by individuals without a full understanding of the insurance needs of their clients. The 26 national sports bodies who have transferred their insurance business to O Driscoll O Neil/Sportscover over the past 2 years would concur with this view.
O’Driscoll O’Neil work with Sportscover to provide the only available tailor made bespoke sports insurance policy to the leisure and sports sector in Ireland. O’Driscoll O’Neil will also work with the other established insurers if they can provide the insurance cover required.
As partners of the Federation of Irish Sports O’Driscoll O’Neil Ltd will carry out an audit of the current insurance arrangements of any Sporting NGB without any obligation whatsoever. If they have any recommendations to make they will permit the NGB to pass those recommendations to their existing broker for consideration.
